Blythe Lipman Welcomes Guest, Ally Loprete from OurMilkMoney.com

By Blythe Lipman, Baby Instructions

CAN YOU BE SELF-EMPLOYED AND HAPPY?

Known as the Work/Life Balance Parenting expert, Ally Loprete's career began when she  founded the widely popular OurMilkMoney.com, an online search directory that lists the products and services of thousands of self-employed parents in more than 120 cities across the country.  In addition to inspiring a movement of work-at-home moms and dads who support each other with their own purchasing power,  Ally has created an abundance of opportunity for parents who are seeking alternatives to expensive daycares and long hours away from home.

Prior to becoming a self-employed parent, Ally spent several years in various creative roles at ABC Television, and although her time there was rewarding and plentiful,  it wasn't until her first child was born that she came to realize her true calling in life.

Ally has become a nationally recognized personality through her widely popular internet radio show, THIS LITTLE PARENT STAYED HOME, where she is diligently chipping away at her mission to help 1 million parents bring their personal careers home. It is on her weekly live show that she is able to help challenged career parents deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of starting a new business while still running a household, and creating a haven in which parents across the nation will continue to thrive and get the support they need in their personal journeys.

How to Survive The Holidays in One Piece With Blythe Lipman, Host of Baby and Toddler Instructions

By Blythe Lipman, Baby Instructions

Twas the month before Christmas and my brain was all a clutter,

Could I get everything done and still be a good mother?

I had to go shopping, but my two year old had to nap,

Do you think he could miss it and be a good chap?

The baby started crying as I was ready to bake,

Would anyone notice if Costco cookies were on the plate?

My husband was grumpy cause I wanted the tree,

He said “I told you we’ll get it, please stop bugging me!”

I thought that the holidays were supposed to be fun,

Why do I feel like I just want to run?

I think I just thought of the perfect solution,

I know where to go without starting a revolution.

Baby and Toddler Instructions it will be,

On Toginet radio, that’s the place for me.

Robin Boyd will be Blythe’s special guest,

Her holiday tips will sure take away the stress.

I’ll sit with my tea while I listen to them.

My baby and toddler can sit on my lap

Unless I get lucky and they both take a nap!

I feel much better since I know what to do,

Going to tell all my friends they should all tune in too!

Why is Tummy-time so important and is there a connection between that and SIDS?

SIDS is one of the most frightening things new parents think about, a constant worry. The "Back to Sleep" campaign has changed the way we keep our infants safe when they sleep.

My guest, Stephanie J. Pruitt will share her knowledge and expertise about SIDS, Tummy-time and why it's so important as well as how to create the safest sleep environment for your most precious possession, your baby!

Stephanie J. Pruitt graduated from the University of South Alabama Magna Cum Laude in 1998, with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy. She has over 10 years of experience in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Currently, she serves as Director of Pediatric Physical Therapy at Eagle Rehab, Inc. in Madison, Alabama. Noticing a trend in the field coupled with a the personal experience of plagiocephaly with her first son, Stephanie began to research the topics of SIDS, the Back to Sleep program and the rising incidence of diagnoses like torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delay and sensory processing disorder. She now teaches other health care professionals nationally on her research findings and serves to enhance the current treatment techniques in these areas.

Blythe Lipman, Host of Baby and Toddler Instructions Wecomes guests, Dr. Gad Lavy and Marion Welch from Lifeline Cryongenics

By Blythe Lipman, Baby Instructions

DO YOU KNOW WHAT CORD BLOOD IS AND WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT?

Blythe Lipman founder of Baby Instructions and host of BabyandToddlerInstructions welcomes guests, Marion Welch, Medical Coordinator of LifeLine Cryogenics Cord Blood Bank and Gad Lavy, MD, FACOG, Medical Director of Lifeline Cryogenics, board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and obstetrician as they answer all your questions about cord blood banking.

After a baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut, some blood remains in the blood vessels of the placenta and the portion of the umbilical cord that remains attached to it. After birth, the baby no longer needs this extra blood. This blood is called placental blood or umbilical cord blood: "cord blood" for short.

Cord blood contains all the normal elements of blood - red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma. But it is also rich in hematopoietic (blood-forming) stem cells, similar to those found in bone marrow. This is why cord blood can be used for transplantation as an alternative to bone marrow.

Join us and learn about the importance of cord blood banking, including the how, when, where and the cost. It's going to be an exciting show!

And don't forget to call us with your questions at 877-864-4869.

Blythe Lipman founder of Baby Instructions and host of BabyandToddlerInstructions welcomes Guest, Nina Antolino, Founder and Director of Limitless Potential

By Blythe Lipman, Baby Instructions

BEAUTIFUL NEW HOME FOR SALE...DEAL CLOSED!!!

We spend months preparing our baby's nursery deciding what color to paint the room, what kind of crib to buy, do we really need a cradle? So many decisions when we are thinking about conceiving.

But how much time do we spend preparing our babies "real" first home...our bodies/mind and spirit?

Join me with guest Nina Antolino as she tells us how to prepare our inner selves before we bring a child into the world.

Nina holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA, with a concentration in Organizational Development, from Boston University.

Her interest in pursuing a career as a professional engineer, a field in which there were very few women, led her to create a women's career development network. Her passion for learning, striving to reaching her own full potential and to live an empowered life is matched by her desire to help individuals and organizations reach their greatest potential and realize their vision and goals.

Her greatest experience and deepest learning came in July 2008, at 41 years old, when she gave birth to her son (and greatest joy) Noah Bennett Jagetic. Although she was told by several specialists that creating life would not be possible for her (even with assisted reproductive technologies), she embraced a mind-body-spirit approach, believed in her full creative potential and she believed in possibilities! She was able to conceive without medical intervention and had a healthy vibrant pregnancy. This ignited a passion and has led her to developing "Conscious Creations" a series of empowerment workshops, seminars, circles and coaching sessions targeting women who are challenged with fertility issues and wish to enhance their preconception health.
