The Love Wrangler Show has a humorous, Western flair and centers on a different weekly topic such as infidelity, boredom, confidence, loneliness, dating and marriage.  Frankie and Kelly tackle their subjects, even the most delicate, with wit, wisdom, and a no-nonsense approach that empowers listeners to take action.  Not your ordinary relationship show!  These ladies set out each time to strip away the excuses women often bury themselves under and get them to face their demons head-on.  Knowledge is power and they won't rest until they've taught every dissatisfied female how to create the love she's always dreamed of--with her partner and herself.

Your Hosts:

Frankie Picasso and Kelly Wallace are experienced relationship coaches, radio show hosts, and multi-published authors.  Their goal is to help women wake-up out of their stupor, face their present, learn from their past, and create a future--especially in the area of love.  Their professional and down-to-earth advice articles have been featured on the front page of Divine Caroline and other top websites.

What's a Love Wrangler?

A Love Wrangler is a woman who doesn't allow her body to roam the range or emotions to go on a stampede.  She rides tall in the saddle with pride and confidence.  She's playful and often laughs...sometimes too much, but better than not enough.  She's an explorer in her own life and the world around her.  She doesn't take any bull--mechanical or otherwise!  She knows the ropes when it comes to love.  She refuses to take life too seriously, learns from her mistakes, and wants a special cowboy sitting next to her around the campfire.  She's always a lady, yet doesn't bat an eyelash when there's hard work to be done; she can roll up her sleeves and run the ranch just as well, if not better, than any hombre can.  At the end of the day she can look in the mirror and smile, knowing that being a Love Wrangler is a journey, not a destination.  And what a journey it is!

What Women Can Learn From Romance Novels

I’ve thought about writing this article for awhile now since, as a romance author, people are always asking me why I write them.  I always turn the tables and ask, “Well, why do you read them?”  Over the years I’ve gotten a mixture of responses to this and I’ll share some with you here.

Most readers of romance and erotic romance say they read these novels because they’re lonely, not satisfied in their current sex lives, or simply enjoy being swept away by the stories and hot sex.  Who wouldn't swoon over a sexy cowboy with a sarcastic streak like Raif Manning in my novel Lovin' The Cowboy Way?  Or drool over the sleepy-eyed sex machine Trevor Scott and his "buffed up beefcake bod" in A Bitter Pill?  Let’s face it, the characters in these novels are buffed, built, curvy and courageous.  They have lives we could only dream about and sex lives that go beyond our fantasies.  It’s a guilty pleasure.  A titillating past time.

Can romance novels warp our way of viewing real relationships and real sex lives though?  This depends on a few factors.  Most people, such as myself, read them for nothing more than entertainment.  And, since I write them too, I like keeping abreast of what’s out there.  Some women write and tell me that it helps to get them in the mood for sex with their partner.  Sort of like foreplay.  Guys are usually faster than girls!

But there are people who think that their partner should be like the heroes in these books.  They should work at a high-paying high-profile job, romance them until they’re in a puddle at his feet, then bring them to an earth-shattering orgasm every night of the week.  They should also dress as if they stepped off the cover of GQ magazine and have a six-pack—on his stomach, not in his hand.  Yes, there are women who actually feel this way.

Like any decadent treat, romance novels should be enjoyed and savored, but shouldn’t take the place of a real and healthy relationship.

Getting back to the subject title, is there something we can learn from romance novels?  Sure!  The characters always seem to grow as individuals and so should we.  Don’t remain stuck in your past, don’t set dreams aside, be independent, be confident, take care of yourself, initiate sex more often, and be honest with your feelings—with your partner and yourself.

Life may not be a romance novel, but it can be even better since your life and your partner are real.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly and Frankie

Is It Love Or Lust?

Join us April 1st for The Love Wranglers debut show, "Is it Love or Lust?"  Many women tend to get too intimate too quickly without asking themselves if this is really the right thing to do.  No, we aren’t asking you to take a time machine back to the Victorian Era and wait for marriage before having sex, but we’ve known too many ladies who have been blinded by the light of a charming smile and regretted it the following morning--or several years down the line.  So how do separate potential love from mere lust?  We'll tell you! We'd also love to hear your, "I thought it was love but it was only lust" stories.  Please call into the show!

We have a very special guest Stefan Pinto who has modeled for romance novel covers and Playgirl.  Do women tend to fall in lust with him rather than love?  Listen in and find out!

Deadbeat Moms and Dads

Our April 22nd show will focus on Deadbeat Dads and Moms, but with a twist.  Instead of bashing these absent parents who refuse to take responsibility for their offspring, we want to focus on the positive stories.  The parents who were "left behind" to pick up the pieces and make a life for themselves and their kids.

Our first guest is Tamara Caputo.  At 6 feet tall, she had dreams to become a model, meet Tamara Caputo on The Love Wranglers Radio Showher prince charming, and live happily ever after.  She indeed met a seemingly wonderful man who promised her love forever.  As time went on they had 6 children and being married to "Prince Charming" became a nightmare as his personality changed and Tamara found herself in the fight of her life.  At one point she and the kids were forced to move out of the country to hide from the "evil government."  It was a long road, but in the end Tamara broke free with her children, found a truly wonderful man, and started a business together:  Newenglandwear.com

Lisa Helfend Meyer on The Love Wranglers Radio ShowWe also have a very special guest tonight, one of the top family law lawyers in the United States , Lisa Helfend Meyer in Los Angeles . She handles many of the country's top custody/alimony issues involving both celebrities and non-celebrities.  Ms. Meyer was a consultant to the highly regarded television show Family Law. Ms. Meyer has been interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, Court TV, Extra, Fox News, as well as other media and was featured in an hour long segment of 48 Hours regarding a complex contested adoption matter. Ms. Meyer was also named one of the top 50 divorce attorneys in Los Angeles in the Los Angeles Magazine.

Emotional Blackmail

April 29th Show - A lot of people are guilty of emotionally manipulating or blackmailing their partner, and many more are victims of this petty crime.  Much of it may seem innocent enough or simply a bad habit; your guy ticks you off so you withhold sex.  Your guy threatens to leave and you threaten to A) kill yourself B) slash his tires C) post to Twitter about what a small penis he has D) never let him see the kids again E) all of the above.  If you're the one being emotionally blackmailed maybe your guy tells you that nobody else will want you because you're too fat, too thin, too old, too stupid, etc.  Perhaps he threatens violence or harm to himself.  All of these scenarios are meant to do one thing: Manipulate the person who isn't bowing down to the wishes of the other.

Lynda Nicely on The Love Wranglers Radio ShowJoin your Love Wranglers as they dissect and discuss this very common relationship handicap and how to overcome it--whether you're the victim or the perpetrator.

Tonight they'll be talking with Lynda Nicely, a regular woman who went from thinking her relationship was "love at first sight" to a regular nightmare.  Throughout her two and a half year relationship this guy fluctuated between belitting her and flushing her self-esteem down the toilet, to begging for forgiveness and declaring his ever-lasting love.  What's a girl to do?  We're nurturing creatures and want to love and be loved!  After some free counseling at the local domestic violence center, Lynda was armed with knowledge and power, and was strong enough to leave.

What are some of the warning signs that a guy is too good to be true? How soon is too soon to say "I love you" and move in together? What drives these men (and women) to exert such control over another? Find out tonight on Emotional Blackmail with your Love Wranglers!

Money Matters in Midlife

May 6th show - Whether you're in a second marriage or a long-term relationship, financial matters aren't as easy as it was your first time around.  When we're young we tend to share bank accounts and many times one partner will be in charge of paying the bills, etc.  Now more and more couples, especially those in midlife, tend to keep their assets separate (and their a**es covered!)

When dating should you always go Dutch or just the first few times?  Afterward do you take turns or do you expect the man to pay for you?  What about dividing up the bills when you live together?  Who pays what and how to come to a compromise?  Or do you feel it's a man's job to take care of you?  We'd love to hear from you!

Statistics show that 50% of all marriages fail due to these three stress factors: Sex, Kids, Money.  Your No Bull Relationship Gals want to strip away the confusion of what's considered the "in thing" or supposedly good etiquette and offer solid information and guidance that's simply the right thing to do as a Love Wrangler.  Join us tonight!

Tracey R. Cobb is a trainer, motivational speaker, relationship coach and owner of Living Authentically You!  Living Authentically You! is a coaching and media company that focuses on empowering our community through self love, education, and building strong relationships. Tracey understands that the most important relationship to master is the one we have with ourselves.

The One That Got Away

May 13th Show - First loves, lost loves, missed chances.  Many of us have at least one in our past and tonight's show will center on this topic.  What if you could go back and change things?  What if that person came back into your life and you got another chance?  What if you totally screwed something up and wished to have a second chance?  Your Love Wranglers have first-hand experience and a whole lot of education under our belts on these subjects.  We'll share some stories we've gathered, along with our opinions and No Bull guidance on what you can do about your lost love.  Sometimes it is better to leave things in the past.  At other times second chances come along and it's not what we expected it to be--sometimes it's worse, and sometimes far better than imagined.  Guests TBA

Top Complaints In Marriages

On June 3rd 8pm ET/5pm PT we'll be discussing the top marriage complaints men and women have and how to overcome them and compromise so your marriage doesn't end in divorce!  It’s no secret that more than 50% of all marriages end in divorce, but what issues lead up to the split?  Well, your Love Wranglers did some research online and found out that the things men complain to marriage counselors most are: Not enough sex, no recognition or support for being a good provider, being given a long list of “honey do” chores, and being nagged.

What are women’s top complaints?  Her husband spending too much time away, being workaholic, too much leisure time, and lack of sex or too much of it.  It doesn’t take a Love Wrangler with a Ph.D. to see that the core issue here is lack of effective communication!  Join us as we wade through the muck and mire and uncover effective ways to communicate and get what you want and need in your relationship!
