  1. Bob says: Brenda, as I listened to the broadcast, it was good, what struck me was this. Until fairly recently in the history of the home, EVERYBODY was a "stay at home parent". The "little house on the prairie" was also the work place. Both my grandparents were stay at home because they were farmers. Until the Industrial Revolution, shops were in the home. Father passed the trade to the son. Mothers taught the daughters to work in all the trades of the home. In some cultures today, ie. Orthodox Jewish, the mother will work so the father can study. What happened was a paradigm shift. Q. Are we really better now?

  1. Stacy Harp says: Thank you for doing this show. It's vitally important and I'm thankful you're compassionate enough to address it.

  2. Brenda Nixon says: You're welcome Stacy. There's no excuse for parents to intentionally remain "in the dark" about this crime. We must educate ourselves and our children so they might not become a victim. Even at airports, there are people looking for young travelers who may be a target of kidnapping and selling into sexual slavery.
