Show Info

Pat Sloan has been creating since she was a child.  From the first shoebox dioramas to sketches for a fabric line, there has always been creative energy flowing.  When she tried her hand at quilting in 1985, she never looked back.  Now, owner and founder of the quilting design and publishing company Pat Sloan & Co., she has published over 20 books, more than 100 patterns, nearly 10 fabric lines, and has had her work featured in many of our magazines.

Pat first began sharing her knowledge through her publications, workshops, and lectures, but has expanded her reach through the internet and social media. Pat's overall passion has always been encouraging others to harness their creative energy and have fun with their quilting!

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Shelly Zegart guest
Guest - If you have been listening to my shows or have been to my presentations, you know I am passionate about quilts and antique quilts are my inspiration. I've been a huge fan of Shelly Zegart for years.  Shelly is a renowned quilt collector, curator, author and lecturer on both antique and contemporary quilts. Her love of American quilts began in the mid-1970s when she was inspired to hang quilts with other art on the walls of her newly built contemporary home. Today I have we have the pleasure of getting to know Shelly and learn about her background and current project "Quilts Matter"
